The Department of Psychology at the University of Arizona invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in cognitive neuroscience, available immediately.
This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of two additional year(s) contingent upon satisfactory performance and availability of funding.. Successful applicants will have demonstrated research interests in the cognitive neuroscience of aging and cognition, strong experimental and statistical training, knowledge of MRI analysis methods, and a record of outstanding publications. Funding for the position is available immediately.

Duties & Responsibilities
Under the supervision of Dr. Lee Ryan, the postdoctoral fellow will assist with all aspects of a multi-site longitudinal project on risk factors for age-related cognitive impairment among Hispanic and non-Hispanic older adults. The study protocol includes neuropsychological and experimental cognitive testing, functional, structural, diffusion tensor, and perfusion MRI, genetic testing, and biomarker collection. The primary duties include coordination of patient recruitment, administering cognitive tests, collecting MRI data, analyzing imaging and behavioral data, and writing manuscripts. There will also be opportunities to pursue additional research projects related to memory, aging, and disorders of aging.cquisition and analysis including behavioral, brain imaging, and TMS data.

Ph.D. in Psychology or a related discipline (must be completed prior to starting this position)
• Strong organizational skills and excellent people skills
• Bilingual Spanish effective communication skills, written and oral
• Proficiency in neuropsychological test administration
• Proficiency in data analysis of behavioral and neuroimaging data
