A full-time Research Postdoctoral Associate position (40 hours per week) is available to assist with a NIH-funded behavioral research study focused on developing and implementing an intervention for families of school-aged children (ages 5-9 years) with type 1 diabetes. The research is focused on addressing the health disparities in diabetes that exist among African American and Hispanic children. The research will involve partnering with several community agencies to develop and deliver the intervention.
The Postdoctoral Associate will engage in oversight of master’s and bachelor’s level research staff under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
Required: Doctoral degree in Psychology or other behavioral science discipline.
Preferred: Prior experiences with Microsoft Excel, SPSS Statistics Software, research with racial/ethnically diverse children and their families, and research in community and/or healthcare settings.
