A postdoctoral position supported by NIH/NCI R01 grant is available in the Zhang laboratory (http://med.uc.edu/zhanglab) at the Department of Cancer Biology, University of Cincinnati. Located at the state-of-art Vontz Center for Molecular Studies, the Zhang laboratory currently focuses on elucidating molecular mechanisms of gene- and tissue- specific transcriptional cofactors in breast cancer [Mol Cell 19:89-100, PNAS 107: 6765, JBC 286:17746, EMBO J. 30:2405, Cancer Research 72:5625, ACS Nano 11(1):335, Cancer Research 78(2):422]. We are using a combination of biochemical, molecular, genomic (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq) and mouse genetic (conditional knockout, mutant knockin and overexpression) approaches. We are also currently developing RNA-based nano-therapeutics to target these cofactors to overcome therapeutic resistance of human breast cancer.
Interested candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with research experience in biochemistry, molecular or cellular biology. Prior experience with animal studies or RNA-seq/ChIP-seq or RNA nanotechnology is a plus. Salary is competitive with an attractive benefits package that includes free family health insurance, generous retirement contributions, etc. If interested, please submit a CV and list of contact information for three references to:
