The Department of Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Associate in Cancer Research. This position will work under the direction of Dr. Anthony J Capobianco, Professor and Director, in the Division of Molecular Oncology. Specifically, the research will focus on Mechanism and drug discovery in the Notch and Wnt signaling pathways in cancer. Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, generating and designing hypothesis driven experiments; analyzing data; presenting at seminars and conducting other forms of research communications; and ensuring all research is undertaken according to good research practice and guidance.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Ph.D. in a biological or biochemical science and/or computational chemistry background. Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information. Ability to successfully work independently. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Strong analytical skills with the ability to pay close to detail.
