The Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Bianchi's laboratory is seeking an early career Postdoctoral Associate to join the laboratory as soon as possible. The Bianchi Lab works on the molecular mechanisms underlying the functional interaction between neurons and glia and how these shape animal behavior. The Bianchi Lab uses a variety of techniques including molecular biology, C. elegans genetics, confocal microscopy, functional imaging, electrophysiology, and animal behavior.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Ph.D. in a directly related field of study with a background in Physiology, Physics, Neuroscience, and Molecular Biology. Good organizational and project management skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with all levels of staff.
