The Bio-behavioral Health and Recovery Laboratory in the Department of Health Behavior at Roswell Park Cancer Institute is recruiting a postdoctoral research associate to join our team. Our lab seeks to understand and examine bio-behavioral mechanisms underlying health behaviors. While our primary focus is tobacco use, we are interested in mechanisms that underlie other addictions and health behaviors. This post-doctoral training is designed to assist the post-doctoral associate develop a career as an independent researcher. The postdoctoral associate will contribute to NIH-funded research studies employing brain stimulation, behavioral economics, and neuro-economic approaches to address addiction and other health behaviors using both human laboratory and clinical trial methodologies. Research duties will involve contributing to research projects, authoring and co-authoring several manuscripts per year, assisting with grant writing, collaborating with multiple investigators, and attending professional conferences. The associate will create an individual development plan with their mentors and complete training in transcranial magnetic stimulation, tobacco dependence treatment, advanced research methodologies, and other topics.
