NIH-funded postdoctoral positions are available immediately to join Lim laboratory in Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, College of Medicine, University of South Alabama (https://www.usahealthsystem.com/lime-ssang-taek-steve-lim-phd). A recent PhD in biomedical sciences or related disciplines is required. We are studying signaling roles of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) in vascular disease and cancer. Previous training and experiences in the following research areas are preferred: 1) vascular injury, repair, and regeneration focusing on vascular inflammation and remodeling; 2) metabolic pathways involving mitochondrial function and vascular inflammation; 3) epigenetic studies of gene expression regulations in various disease including vascular complications and cancer. The group currently has one postdoctoral fellow, one PhD student, and one research assistant. Salary would commensurate with experience.
