Job Description
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Washington University School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a post-doctoral research associate in Cancer Biology. The laboratory focus is to develop novel agents for molecular imaging and therapy of human cervical cancer.
Current projects in the lab include: 1) Pathway-based gene expression profiling for identification of novel targets in the treatment of cervical cancer.; 2) A mouse model of metastatic cervical cancer for evaluation of novel therapeutics; 3) Targeting HPV for molecular imaging and therapy; 4) Molecular imaging of the premetastatic niche.
Requirements: Ph.D. in molecular biology, genetics, immunology, biochemistry or a related field.
The ideal candidate would have extensive laboratory experience including some or all of the following: gene expression profiling, mouse models of cancer, flow cytometry, bioluminescence, radiochemistry, and general molecular biology. The ability to publish and present the research results is expected.
