Postdoctoral Fellowship in tumor immunology is available at the Texas Children's Cancer Center/Center for Cell and Gene Therapy, Baylor College of Medicine. Our group is located within a recently expanded state-of-the-art Center that combines basic research laboratories and one of the largest in the US GMP facility for the preparation of cell and gene therapy products for use in clinical trials. The fellowship provides unique opportunities to perform NIH-funded basic research on the mechanism of NKT cell localization and function in neuroblastoma, translate research findings into new therapies for children with neuroblastoma, and apply the results of the clinical trials to generate new clinically relevant hypotheses to be tested in the experimental settings. Our Center provides highly interactive academic environment where researchers and physicians work together and learn from each other. Visit us at www.txccc.org/metelitsa
The candidates must be recent Ph.D. graduates with strong background and practical skills in cellular immunology, tumor cell biology, molecular biology, and hands-on experience of working with animal models of cancer. Selected candidates will be invited to visit Houston and give a seminar.
