A post-doctoral position in computational biology is available immediately with professor Subhadip Raychaudhuri in the biomedical engineering (BME) department at the university of California Davis. Work involves computational modeling of immunological processes to understand the mechanisms of antigen affinity discrimination in B cell activation. Another major emphasis in the lab is to explore various aspects of cellular signaling that leads to programmed cell death (apoptosis). Research work will be carried out in close collaboration with experimentalists. A PhD in physical sciences or engineering is required. The ideal candidate would have experience in computational modeling of biological systems. Salary scale ranges between $32,000 - $40,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
