The Brain Tumor Center at the University of Chicago is seeking a candidate with a PhD degree to work in the area of neuro-oncology. The position will involve work with stem cells and stem cell biology and elucidating the mechanism of stem cell migration in the context of gene therapy applications for brain cancer. In addition, the project will involve understanding the immune response to stem cells in the context of the central nervous system and ways of manipulating the immune response to gene therapy vectors.
The position is open to new and/or experienced PhDs as the level of the position is commensurate with previous experience. Ideally, the applicant will have a PhD in molecular biology/stem cell biology/immunology with prior experience in the fields. You should be residing within the United States at the time of the application and be prepared to come for an interview. Visa sponsorship is available to appropriate individuals.
