Postdoctoral positions immediately available to join a productive cardiovascular research team situated in the Division of Molecular Medicine, Departments of Anesthesiology and Medicine in the University of California Los Angeles (http://research.anes.ucla.edu/cai/). A PhD in biological/biomedical sciences or related disciplines is required. Previous training and experience in the following research areas is desired: 1) diabetes, metabolic syndrome and obesity; 2) vascular inflammation and remodeling, vascular smooth muscle pathobiology; 3) ischemia-reperfusion injury of the heart, post myocardial infarction remodeling, mitochondrial pathobiology; 4) growth factor (netrin, VEGF) signal transduction, protein chemistry and regulation of cytoskeleton; 5) endothelial progenitor cells.
